From the preparation area to the spray booth: efficiency and quality in paint finishing
The company offers cars and commercial vehicles on short-term and long-term rental basis. To optimize maintenance costs and reduce the downtime of damaged vehicles the customer took the decision to install an in-house paint shop.

The new paint shop should be suitable for all repair work on the vehicles from preparation to final paint finish. Optimizing energy consumption and making operations more efficient were the cornerstones for maximizing the investment.
Solution
The paint-system consists of an Extra Spraybooth for high-quality surfaces and precise consumption control, a double Genius Preparation Area with hydraulic lifts perfectly integrated into the floor and automatically controlled roller blinds. The centerpiece is a color mixing box for the safe preparation of the colors.
The paintbooth and the preparation areas are equipped with a Touchscreen-PLC system, which enables the user to control all operating parameters of the system and to increase efficiency. The PLC controls ensure fast paint curing and perfect surfaces thanks to the intelligent ventilation control and customer-specific spray programs.
Via the PLC control, it is possible to use the Blowtherm hotline and smart services to simplify maintenance work and minimize system downtimes.
The system extension is the Process Manager 4.0 for real-time monitoring of the process data of the painting jobs and the usage costs.
