More and more finishing processes and paint technologies make it necessary to keep the relative humidity (RH) in all operating conditions within defined ranges and to precisely control the ambient temperature. For surface finishing applications with water-borne paints in the automotive sector, a relative humidity index of 40-60% is recommended to deliver the right spray quality, a must in the automotive OEM sector and in the aerospace industry. The advantages are: better curing, the reduction of electrostatic charge on parts, especially electronic components and the limitation of overspray paint mist in spray paint applications.

The water used in these processes can become the transmission medium for the spread of harmful bacteria. For this reason, Blowtherm only uses specific functional designs and certified components in air- and booth technology that reduce contamination and protect the health of workers.

The amount of energy required for air treatment with temperature and humidity control is considerable. The cheapest and cleanest energy is to save electricity, water and gas.
