An airflow paint booth, 100% electric

Uniform temperature at every point in the cabin using energy from a photovoltaic system

The plant is located within a factory that produces industrial machinery.

The company has a long experience in the production of compressor and vacuum gas machines, which has made it an international leader in the sector.

Request

They were asked to develop a spray booth powered exclusively by electricity, supplied by a large photovoltaic system. The system had to guarantee a uniform temperature throughout the booth, so that several machines could be painted at the same time, maximising utilisation of the available volume.

The handling of the machinery inside the booth had to be done with forklifts, so the suction could not be through the floor grating but through a suction wall.

Solution

We realised an Extra spray booth with a high-efficiency fan heating unit powered by an electric battery, thus using only electrical energy.

The ventilation system ensures a uniform and precise temperature at every point in the booth, allowing several objects to be dried at the same time, making maximum use of the available volume, thus reducing operating costs

Thanks to the use of energy produced by the photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the shed, the cabin has practically no energy impact, also helping to reduce CO2 emissions.

The electric battery heating unit is equipped with an inverter and heat recovery, which significantly increase the overall efficiency of the system, reducing electricity consumption by up to 50%.

In addition, all processing steps are controlled via a touchscreen PLC, enabling intelligent management of energy consumption in line with Industry 4.0 principles.
