Request
The customer has decided to invest in the comprehensive modernization of both repair and refinishing divisions for automotive and commercial vehicles. The mission was to put in place state of the art technologies, layouts and workflows to enable the minimization of energy consumption, the reduction of air pollution, speed and versatility with precise processing at the same time.
Solution
For the car sector, we have installed an high-performance Extra Spray Booth in accordance with the EN 13355 standards, three Genius universal preparation areas, a single area and a double zone, equipped with vehicle lifting platforms, a central dust extraction system and infrared paint dryer.
In order to reduce the spread of dust and to optimize the design and ergonomics, the preparation areas and the spray booths are delimited by glass doors. This improves both the lighting and transparency and enables the operator to organize all work processes very comfortably and efficiently.
For the industrial area, a 19 meter long and 6 meter wide XL Paint Booth Space was installed for processing commercial vehicles. With this usable area, the lateral side of any type and size of vehicle can also be easily and safely processed. For this purpose, mobile 3 axial Paint Lifts systems are used.
The powerful Led lighting and the glazed panels make working easier. With a centrally installed motorized roller door, the cabin can be divided into 2 work-zones, while the two roller doors for entry and exit allow the pass-through passage. The large-scale paint shop is equipped with mobile parts hanger systems for facilitating the spray painting of small parts.
All systems, including the various safety devices and remote maintenance, are monitored and controlled by PLC systems with an industrial touchscreen interface. The ventilation units are equipped with highly efficient direct gas fired burners, which allow modulation and zone control, the appropriate air flow at all times and the minimization of overspray. All this leading to significant savings in electricity and gas consumption plus reduced air pollution.
